A Note to Our Patients on Our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Provisions and CDC Recommendations
 
Dear Patients, effective as of 3/16/20:
 
We understand the growing concern surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the communities we serve. The health and safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. 
 
What is the Medilaser Team doing?
 
Although our patients are typically not in the high risk category, we are dedicated to making sure you are at ease when it comes to your appointment.
 
This said, based on the current CDC COVID-19 guidelines and our additional practices, we are doing the following to ensure our employee's and patient's safety: 

  • Allowing phone consultations (as per the State Board of Medicine)
  • Wearing masks
  • Washing hands
  • Cleaning equipment between patients
  • Screening any high-risk patients
  • Gathering of less than 10 people 
Screening questions for our Patient Appointments:
 
The screening questions per the CDC and our office are as follows, for your protection as well as our employees and doctor: 

  1. Is there anyone in your household who has fever, cough and shortness of breath? 
  2. Have you been in any high-risk areas, such as international visits, New York, Washington State, California, Massachusetts, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, New Jersey, or Illinois in the past two weeks?
  3. Is there anyone in your household that is immunosuppressed or taking anti-rejection drugs, has cancer, diabetes, heart disease or lung disease, or is elderly (age 60+)?
  4. Are you still going to crowded places, such as the mall, restaurants, church, and the supermarket at busy times or using public transportation?
 
If you answered YES to any of these questions above, please call our office and we will reschedule your appointment for a later visit.
 
New or Existing Patient Appointments:
 
Due to community trends with COVID-19 in Texas, our office patient load has been reduced to accommodate one patient at a time, asking not to bring companions to your appointments.
 
Patients appointments are pending the Medilaser COVID-19 screening.
 
 
How is Medilaser monitoring the situation?
 
Dr. Giraldo is monitoring the CDC daily and will notify you on any incoming news or changes with any requested temporary close of our office. As the situation evolves, we are keeping up with and following the recommendations of the CDC, WHO and state/local health departments.

Our primary duty is to safeguard the health and well being of our patients and staff by continuously monitoring, reviewing and improving our response as the situation evolves. We are keeping all employees updated with any new recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
